XP and Training

To give a reasonable advancement rate, I use OD&D-based XP for monsters (base of 100 XP per hit die for hd 1-4), treasure, roleplay and quest XP in addition.  For reference, in my last Wilderlands game the most active PC reached Fighter-5 in about 20 sessions of play.

Advancement normally takes 1 week with a mentor, or 2 weeks of self-training.  Training costs are greatly reduced and may be waived, however magic-users will normally have to pay to acquire new spells.
