Hail Smon, and well met!
Smon Has entered the room
Smon: Hiya
Smon: Anybody there?
Kjato Ragfoot: No. I am just putting my laundry on the washing line.
Goonergeezer: hiya
Smon: OK.
Have you seen the recent posts on the blog, inc the map of Kallent?
Goonergeezer: i have seen the map of kalleny earlier today but i have not seen any others
Smon: http://smonsyggsburgh.blogspot.co.uk/ - Who is Garrick choosing as his Best Man?
Goonergeezer: iot would of been Father Corak
Smon: Doesn't look like Fr Corak wants anything to do with the Hawkes
Goonergeezer: in which case i would ask Sir percival (despite the fact i hate the man) as a ploy to get to know the man further
Smon:
Good idea!
Bloated Blowfish Has entered the room
Smon: Wedding parties are listed here:http://smonsyggsburgh.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/yggsburgh-book-2-introduction.html
Smon: Hi Blowfish. I'm getting ready for 1st session of my restarted Yggsburgh game.
Bloated Blowfish: ''eello"
Smon: Kjato, are you done with the laundry?
Bloated Blowfish: ah..am running this myself
Smon: Awesome! What are your PCs doing BB?
Bloated Blowfish: their just at the entrance to the lower levels in the streroom section
Bloated Blowfish: storeroom*
Smon: Right - I've not got the Zagyg box set.
Kjato Ragfoot: Smon: Yes, sorry for being late.
Bloated Blowfish: one of the 3 steps will lead to an underground city
Smon: I use the Yggsburgh book, gazetteer, Dark Chateau & might use Castle of the Mad Archmage
Bloated Blowfish: whih I created..call it a place where all the pcs the players have ever run in my campaign can be found and more ..
jobatett Has entered the room
Smon:
jobatett: Game?
Bloated Blowfish: dark chateau was great fun for them
Smon: Hi job - starting game shortly.
Bloated Blowfish: and I'm using cotMa as well
Smon: I ran Chateau w my tabletop group, killed 2 of the 3 of them
jobatett Has exited the room
Bloated Blowfish:
Bloated Blowfish: the glove just about did the party in
Smon: It was the trap on Zagyg's spellbook chest - they decided to *bash* the chest open... not good.
Bloated Blowfish: ouchies!
Bloated Blowfish: anyways..don't wanna keep ya
Smon: One died then, the second was stabilised but killed by a goblin arrow on the track, just before making it to safety.
Bloated Blowfish: good luck guys..and please post your gaming campaign if you haven't Smon
Bloated Blowfish: ooo
Smon: It's all on the blog.
Bloated Blowfish: goblin arrow good!!

Kjato Ragfoot: I played yesterday, our group was almost annihilated by giant rats.
Bloated Blowfish: got it.and thanks 80
Bloated Blowfish: seeya soon
Bloated Blowfish Has exited the room
Smon: Kjato, I'm thinking your PC is staying at Castle Kallent incognito, but has revealed his true identity to at least one of the Kallents.
Smon: What do you think?
Kjato Ragfoot: Yes, sounds like a good idea.
Smon: The Kallent are listed here -http://smonsyggsburgh.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/nobles.html
Smon: Obvious one would be Sir George Kallent, the de facto leader of the House.
Smon: So you can be posing as Angus a house retainer, but are really Lord Thomas deRedfort.
Kjato Ragfoot: I would say Sir Edward Kallent, we could be long friends and have fought those orcs together.
Smon: OK, cool!
Kjato Ragfoot: So, he already knows of my return and false identity for some time.
Smon: You can be his right-hand man?
Kjato Ragfoot: What does a right.hand man do?
Smon: His deputy, trusted advisor, sort of thing. He's fairly junior right now so it doesn't mean much.
Kjato Ragfoot: Ah, OK. Yes, that sounds good.
Smon: Of course he is in line to the County one day.
Goonergeezer: yea right
Smon: GM: OK, I'll start. Likely be interrupted when wife gets home, a relative of hers Henry arrived today to stay so I'll prob need to break again for dinner.
Smon: GM: Sunllight streams through the western windows of the Great Hall at Castle Kallent, high on a rocky crag at the end of Dragon Ridge, in the fair County Kallent.
Smon: The Hall is full of guests, here to witness the wedding of Miss Tabitha Kallent and her beloved, the brave Sir Garrick of Yggsburgh, a stout retainer of Sir Ulrich Hawkes.
Smon: Bride and Groom stand before Father Thadeus, the elderly Nerian priest of St Saranrae who serves as the Kallent chaplain. His sonorous voice intones the invocation...
Smon: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness..."
Smon: The fair Tabitha is veiled, and clad all in virginal white, as befits a pure maiden.
Smon: In the front row, behind the wedding couple, are the immediate relatives and most honoured guests - frail Earl Byron, supported by two retainers, his nephew Sir George and his family, and across the aisle Sir Ulrich Hawkes and his own family.
Smon: 'Angus' watches from the second row, behind his friend and liege Sir Edward Kallent. A slight commotion at the entrance to the Hall catches his attention - two halberdiers bar the entrance of a lone man, in the garb of a wealthy peasant.
Smon: The man looks most agitated, distressed.
Goonergeezer: Garrick tenses up, and begins scanning around for a quick exit if need be
Kjato Ragfoot: "Angus" will go to the entrance and ask the peasant: "What do you want? There is a wedding going on here, your problems can surely wait for this short time?"
Smon: Father Thadeus reaches the important part: "Do you, Tabitha Kallent, take this man to be your lawful husband, to love, honour and obey, until death do you part?"
Smon: GM: Angus rises, as unobtrusively as possible from his aisle seat, and heads to the entrance.
Smon: Tabitha gulps, nervous, then speaks: "I do."
Smon: The rosy-cheeked, balding peasant looks nervously at Angus, in his Kallent livery. "Begging your pardon, sir! I - it's... it's my daughter, sir! She's been taken!"
Kjato Ragfoot: Taken you say? What happened, but be quick about it.
Smon: Fr Thadeus: "And do you, Sir Garrick of Yggsburgh, take this woman, to love, to honour and to husband, until death do you part?"
Goonergeezer: garrick nervous for a completly different reason intones "I Do"
Smon: The peasant wipes a tear from his eye. "I-I'm Otto, Reeve of Horsham, the village by the swamp..."
Smon: Father Thadeus beams benevolently. "Then I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride."
Goonergeezer: Garrick turns to tabitha, leans in close and kisses his new wife (may she live longer than the first)
Smon: Otto: "My daughter Rose, she was bathing with her friends in the West Brook - I always tell her it's too close the marshes..."
Smon: Tabitha looks up at Garrick, her eyes shining with love-light... he kisses her....
Smon: Otto: "It seized her! Not much more than an hour ago... I came here as fast as I could..."
Smon: "The girls say it was huge, nine feet tall! An ogre, perhaps..."
Kjato Ragfoot: An ogre? that would be a horrible occurance.
Goonergeezer: Garrick: whilst kissing tabitha garrick tries to see if the commontion going on is anything to do with him
Smon: (wife back)
Kjato Ragfoot: Good. I will inform the lord about your loss and see to lead a group of soldiers to investigate there myself, if possible.
Goonergeezer: (ie stares or people pointing)
Smon: Garrick can see several guests looking at Angus, Edward Kallent's man, talking with a commoner at the Hall entrance.
OculusOrbus Has entered the room
Smon: Hi Oc, we're playing my Yggsburgh game
Kjato Ragfoot: But that will have to wait till after the wedding.
Smon: Otto nods to Angus. "Yes, of course, but please - my daughter..." he wipes a tear from his eye.
OculusOrbus: Simon, Rags, Goon
OculusOrbus: I go now. have fun.
Goonergeezer: garrick:seeing at it does not appear to be a lynching party for himself, turns to the assembled throng and waves
Smon: There is a good smattering of applause as Garrick kissed Tabitha, which rises to enthusiastic clapping as he waves to the crowd.
OculusOrbus Has exited the room
Kjato Ragfoot: Good. Go to the kitchen, get yourself some food and drink, I will call fo your shortly. And now, I have a wedding to attend.
Smon: Sir Ulrich Hawkes and Sir George, Tabitha's father, rise and come forward. Hawkes: "Good show! Good show!"
Goonergeezer: Garrick: thank you Sir Ulrich, and .........what should i call you my lord?
Smon: Sir George nods happily: "Indeed! Indeed! Servants, bring in the tables! Let the feast begin!"
Smon: George smiles at Garrick: "Why, I'm your Father in Law now, son! But Sir George is fine. Or just George - We're all knights here, eh?"
Smon: Garrick notices Dame Gertrude scowling from her seat - she never liked Garrick.
Smon: Otto looks to Angus: "If you don't mind, sir, if I could wait here... it looks like the ceremony's over... perhaps you could talk to Sir George for me? If you please, sir." Sweat beads his brow.
Goonergeezer: Garrick: Thank you .....George, with that garrick leads his lady over to Dame Gertrude and says "Thank you my good lady for looking after so fine a specemin of womanhood, i will do all in my power to kep her safe" with that said garrick leads his wife to there place at the table]
Smon: Servants are rapidly setting tables down the central aisle; Sir George leads Garrick and co to the place of honour at the High Table behind Fr Thadeus.
Smon: Dame Gertrude regards Garrick.
Smon: /roll 1d100
Smon rolls 1d100 and gets:
84,
Smon: Her expression softens slightly (55% prone to positive!)
Kjato Ragfoot: Angus to Otto: I will speak with Sir George, as I promised. And no, you may not wait here. Starting a scene will only anger the other nobles inside, there are already enough raised eyebrows.
Smon: Dame Gertrude: "Safe, Indeed..." she sighs, and joins the others at the High Table.
Smon: /roll 1d100
Smon rolls 1d100 and gets:
89,
Smon: Otto nods. "Of course, you know best, sir..." He turns and heads for the kitchens, wringing his hands.
Kjato Ragfoot: Angus will return inside and will take part in the congratulations.
Smon: As a retainer, Angus does not qualify for the High Table, though he has a seat close by.
Smon: There is a throng of people congratulating Tabitha and Garrick, though a fair few cast uncertain eyes towards Hawkes's man.
Kjato Ragfoot: He will try to get a short word with Sir George and ask on his opinion on the matter, offering to lead a group of guards after the monster that stole the girl.
Smon: His lineage is uncertain, his accent unrefined, but his deeds of courage and daring are legendary, not least the slaying of the Ogre of Hillwood alongside Sir Percifal, his best man.
Smon: Moving through the throng, Angus reaches Sir George after about ten minutes. Sir George's eyebrows raise. "An ogre? In the swamp?!"
Kjato Ragfoot: I am not sure it is an ogre. Could also be a lizardman. But I think the matter should be reviewed.
Smon: George bangs a mug on the table. "Everyone! Listen awhile! Angus here has news of good sport! There's an Ogre in the Horsham Swamp! It's stolen a girl, Reeve Otto's daughter! Who fancies a little ogre-hunt?"
Smon: "Or it could be a lizardman!"
Smon: Ulrich Hawkes grins: "Why, we have plenty of ogre-killers here to deal with such a beast!"
Goonergeezer: Garrick stands up and raises his voice to be heard above the noise "i shall slay this ogre amd its head shall adorn the spot above the fire
Goonergeezer: Garrick: SWir edward would you like to accompanty me on this deed?
Smon: Sir Percifal stands forthrightly, limping slightly as he steps forward. "Indeed - I too shall venture into the marshes to confront the brute!" He casts a gaze upon his beloved, the lovely Helen Kallent.
Smon: Sir Edward, Angus' liege, looks to the other two knights. "Well - I was going to suggest letting the guards handle this one, so as not to interrupt the festivities - but it does sound like fun. Angus, you in?"
Smon: Tabitha puts a hand on Garrick's arm. "Garrick, my love - this is our wedding day. Surely..."
Kjato Ragfoot: Angus to Sir Edward: "Of course, Sir.
Goonergeezer: Garrick calls to a servant "bring some wineskins, there is no reason why we cannot celebrate while we hunt this beast down"
Kjato Ragfoot: "If you allow, I would inform Reeve Otto of your decision to search for his daugther and hunt the monster that abducted it."
Goonergeezer: Garrick: tabitha my darling if the people of kallent are to accept me then i must be seen as to do my duty by them"
Goonergeezer: Garrick: but if you insist i will stay
Smon: Edward nods to Angus. "Yes, do tell the poor man. If his daughter lives we'll have her back before..." - He looks to the evening light "....midnight, I reckon."
Kjato Ragfoot: "Very well, Sir." Agnus bows and leaves to inform Reeve Otto.
Smon: A servant nods to Garrick. "Wineskins, yes sir."
Goonergeezer: Garrick reaches for a cup of water on the table and raises it, "a toast to my beatiful bride Tabitha Kallent"
Smon: Tabitha looks down. "My love... I am just... I would never order you. I am sworn to obey you, my husband. But I am afraid..."
Smon: "To Tabitha!" says Sir Percy, the others joining in, hoisting their flagons high.
Goonergeezer: Garrick: be not afraid my love, the gods have sey out romance in motion, surely they would not destroy it on our wedding day"
Smon: (soon be my dinner time, take a 30 min break)
Goonergeezer: ok
Kjato Ragfoot: Good idea, I will have dinner too.
Kjato Ragfoot: See you in about 30 minutes.
Smon: Tabitha nods, still looking fearful. Sir Percy speaks up: "Do not fear, beautiful Tabitha. Garrick and I have faced Ogres before, and prevailed!" He winces at a pain in his leg.
Goonergeezer: garrick slaps percifal on the back "and what a day of sport that was"
Smon: Percy: "Indeed! And this time we have Sir Edward with us, a redoubtable warrior in his own right! He's slain a dozen ogres in his time!"
Smon: Edward: "Orcs, Percy. I've slain a dozen orcs..." Edward sighs.
Goonergeezer: (unlucky number 13 evil laugh)
Smon: Sir Edward rubs his chin. "Best get on with it then, eh? I think I'll take the Sword of Amaul for this one - it's a greatsword, enchanted by the Royal Wizard at Dunfalcon in ancient time, to battle the Hordes of Chaos..."
Smon: "Got a good heavy swing to it, perfect for Ogres. You sticking with your longsword, Percy?" Percy nods.
Goonergeezer: Garrick: "ah wytchfire will drink ogre blood again"
Smon: Percy grins: "That's the spirit! Let us gird our loins and prepare for battle!"
Goonergeezer: garrick raises another goblet of water and proposes a toast " TO SPORT"
Smon: "TO SPORT!" The knights drink again from their wine-goblets. Angus informs Otto that three knights of Kallent will deal with the Ogre/Daughter issue. In the vestibule, servants bring their armour and weapons.
Goonergeezer: right gonna go and make a coffe see you in 30 mins
Smon: (ok see you - dinner not ready yet so might be a bit longer, I'll go socialise!)
Goonergeezer: :-)
Smon: dinner about to start, should be back 9pm or a bit before.
Goonergeezer: ok m8
saunatonttu Has entered the room
saunatonttu: game?
saunatonttu Has exited the room
Goonergeezer: back
Kjato Ragfoot: Back too
Smon: hiya
Smon: got a bit of time before desert...
Smon: GM: Angus and the three knights - Edward, Garrick and Percifal - gird on their armour, select their weapons, and mount their steeds. Reeve Otto mounts his ass.
Goonergeezer: (could be worse, it could be someone else mounting your ass)
Smon: Together you ride out from the castle gate, down the narrow track that leads down from the crag through light woodland, to the meadowlands east of the River Nemo.
Smon: You pass through the riverbank village of Midgrove on the Dunfalcon Pike, and a journey of nine miles brings you to Horsham a little after dark.
Goonergeezer: garrick passes around a wineskin, but only pretends to drink himself
Smon: A full moon is rising. Sir Percifal: "We must hurry... *hic*... to save the maid, ere she is eaten, or worse!"
Kjato Ragfoot: Angus "Indeed."
Smon: Edward sips from the wineskin. Percifal is clearly very drunk, but Edward has drunk only in moderation.
Kjato Ragfoot: Angus was to busy talking to people to get drunk. He feels somehow out of place.
Goonergeezer: Garrick: "not drinking angus? here you go" garrick throws him a full wineskin
Kjato Ragfoot: "Thanks."
Smon: Otto leads you through the village - a crowd following you - to the West Brook, a stream that runs down to the River Nemo. Great muddy pad-prints are clearly visible on the west bank.
Smon: Otto "There - you see! By the girls' accounts it headed into the swamps, yonder."
Kjato Ragfoot: (Angus will only pretend to drink wine, but trying to keep sober)
Goonergeezer: (do they look human like otr do they look more like animal/vreature tracks?)
Smon: Anyone know which DMG page the Inebriation Table is on?
Smon: found it
Smon: I was looking at the wrong line in the index
Goonergeezer: 82 83
Smon: Moderate att -1 +1 hp, Great Att -5 hp +3
Smon: The tracks look humanoid, but much bigger than a man.
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets:
1,
Smon: They are roughly man-shaped, but toes wide-splayed, look clawed.
Goonergeezer: garrick: this looks like no ogre to me"
Smon: Edward: "The water level in the swamps is low this time of year... Why do you say that, Garrick?"
Goonergeezer: garrick: these tracks look clawed, unless the ogre has very long toenaiuls...."
Smon: Edward: "Hmm..." Percifal: "A long-nailed Ogre! Foresooth!"
Kjato Ragfoot: It could be much worse than an ogre or a lizardman. We should hurry.
Goonergeezer: garrick: yes, let us follow the tracks, maybe it will lead to its lair"
Smon: Edward: "Angus, I recall you killed an ogre on Blacktooth Ridge last year. What do you reckon? A lizardman? Seems awful big... Yes, we should hurry."
Smon: GM: Your horses splash across the stream. In the bright moonlight you can see the tracks, heading into the swamp.
Smon: No Ranger, I'll give 3 in 6 you can stay on the trail, as the water level is low.
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets:
6,
Smon: After a couple hours wandering in the swamp, you seem to have lost the trail, and are wet and muddy.
Kjato Ragfoot: "I am not sure. I think I have never seen such tracks before. And lizardman seldomly hunt alone."
Smon: Percy: "We've lost it. We should split up and search for the tracks..."
Goonergeezer: garrick: what to do? shall we return on the morrow when light is better, or carry on blindly?"
Smon: Edward: "I fear the girl will be eaten if we delay... "
Kjato Ragfoot: Damn. We should have brought bloodhounds.
Goonergeezer: garrick: then let us split into pairs and see if we can pick up the trail"
Smon: Percifal nods: "Hairs, yes, Let us split hairs... *hic*"
Goonergeezer: garrick: angus and percy you take the right, me and edward will take left"
Smon: Percy nods, Edward shrugs: "Very well."
Smon: Angus & Percy 3 in 6:
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets:

Smon: Edward & Garrick 3 in 6:
Smon: /roll 1d6
Smon rolls 1d6 and gets:

Smon: OK, you have been searching for about half an hour when both groups hear a girl's scream carrying over the bog, some distance away.
Goonergeezer: (can we tell from what direction?)
Kjato Ragfoot: (If we can, I would suggest we ride that way)
Smon: Yes, but you'll need to lead your horses - heading for the source of the scream, you catch sight of the other party wading through the muck, their armour shining in the moonlight, then... a huge and hideous shape looms out of the darkness ahead, a pale female form gripped in its paw.
Smon: Alerted by the moon-glimmer on steel, the fell creature looks up as you approach...http://smonsyggsburgh.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/book-2-swamp-beast-of-horsham-village.html
Smon:
Smon: Gonna check on desert
Kjato Ragfoot: (Myam. Yes, now where I see the picture, I long for a desert too)
Goonergeezer: (this country is blessed with buxom women)
Goonergeezer: (kjato you ever feel like marrying into a noble house?? if percy falls helen is alone and single)
Kjato Ragfoot: (Angus only needs to axe his brother, then he would be a baron)
Goonergeezer: (ok, its just that i hate to murder innocent women)
Goonergeezer: (but hey-ho sometimes you just have to do these things)
Kjato Ragfoot: (Why do you need to murder Helen? Wouldn't it be sufficient to convince her to move into a cloister or something?)
Goonergeezer: (but then there is always someone else that could rally an opposition)
Goonergeezer: (pointless leaving possible enemies behind)
Kjato Ragfoot: (Ah, you just make sure it seems her husband dies and you tried to save him. Then, she is an ally, not an enemy9
Goonergeezer: (plus i want it to seem like the crown has fallen to me, rather than i take it)
Goonergeezer: her possible husband is percy, and its a possibility that he could fall tonight)
Kjato Ragfoot: (Ah, she is not married yet?)
Goonergeezer: (i suppose with the dath of perct she could be so distraught that she commits suicide)
Goonergeezer: (death of percy)
Kjato Ragfoot: (Well, we will see. Do not sell the boars hide before you kill it)
Goonergeezer: (indeed)
Goonergeezer: coffee brb
Smon: back
Goonergeezer: back too
Kjato Ragfoot: Still here
Smon: The swamp-beast roars, the girl swooning in his arms... What are you doing? You're about 60' away but it will take time to splash through the water to it.
Smon: Also about 60' between the two groups of warriors.
Smon: Ground is swampy with tussocks of reeds.
Goonergeezer: Garrick draws his weapon but waits to see what edward does first
Kjato Ragfoot: Do I have a clear shot? In that case, I would shoot the monster into the leg to prevent it from running away.
Smon: It has some cover from the girl and its legs are part-submerged, around 3/4 cover or -7 to hit.
Kjato Ragfoot: No. The danger of hitting the girl would be to big.
Smon: Edward draws his heavy greatsword and looks to Garrick. Percy raises his shining blade and yells: "Huzzah!" he starts towards the monster. Anguss raises his bow, assesses the shot and pauses.
Goonergeezer: garrick: come on edward let us make short work of this beast, i have a honeymoon to attend
Kjato Ragfoot: Angus puts the bow away, takes his axes and follows the other knights.
Goonergeezer: garrick starts towards the monstersword drawn
Smon: Edward nods and starts towards the creature, if Garrick is doing so. The creature looks from one group to the other... 1-3 Garrick/Edward, 4-6 Percy

Kjato Ragfoot: Angus, to the girl: "Take my horse and flee! We will keep the monster away"
Smon: The girl nods, and gets to her feet, heading for the horses.
Kjato Ragfoot: True. Could not afford a magic weapon.
Kjato Ragfoot: Still, will attack this monster!

Smon: Shield works vs that number of foes not attacks, IMC so AC 4
Smon: hits you on a 9
Goonergeezer: me?
Smon: Percy: "Keep hacking! We'll stop it!"
Smon: /roll 1d20

Kjato Ragfoot: (No, did not. That is why I just rolled 2d10)
Smon: ok cheers
Smon: Angus, your action
Kjato Ragfoot: OK, I will try to lure the monster from the unconcious Sir Edward.
Kjato Ragfoot: By pretending to fall back from his retreat (as in "keep fighting, but doing a couple steps backwards, as if needing the space to parry)
Smon: ok roll CHA check, d20 =/under CHA
Kjato Ragfoot rolls 1d20 and gets:
1,
Kjato Ragfoot: I think 1 is under my CHA.
Smon: The monster turns from Edward and follows Angus, you can hit it as well

Smon: /roll 1d20
Smon rolls 1d20 and gets:
19,
Smon: fail - the creature stays focused on Angus, Angus' go.
Smon: Angus?
Kjato Ragfoot: OK. I am not going to attack it as usual, but will try to throw some swamp water into its eyes.
Kjato Ragfoot: As to distract it, so it cannot attack me as ferciously.
Kjato Ragfoot: (Is that even a word?)
Smon: Yes - at best it'll be -4 to hit for blinded
Kjato Ragfoot: Yes, that sounds good.
Smon: It'd be a missile attack vs AC 0
Smon: d20 + any DEX bonus, so just THACO 18
Kjato Ragfoot: That would be plain luck. OK. I will still try to.
Kjato Ragfoot: So, swamp water blinding attack.
Kjato Ragfoot rolls 1d20 and gets:
19,
Goonergeezer: (nice one)
Kjato Ragfoot: Yahoo!
Smon: You grab a clump of mud and water and throw it into the beast's eyes!

Smon: You see the creature's wounds start to heal!
Smon: Percy: "Its wounds are closing! It can't be! They're not real! Just legends...?!"
Goonergeezer: garrick: we are outmatched we must retreat"
Smon: Percy: "Garrick, grab Edward! Angus, get the girl! I'll hold it off!"
Kjato Ragfoot: Let's grab Sir Edward and run while the beast is blinded.
Goonergeezer: garrick makes a quick grab at edward and turns to flee to his horse
Kjato Ragfoot: Angus will run, get the horses and bring it as close to Sir Percy as possible, so the others can mount them.
Smon: Is Garrick going to pick up Edward?
Goonergeezer: (he is going to make a half arsed attempt but try to maske it look real)
Smon: GM: Angus races to the horses, grabs two sets of reins.
Smon: The creature ducks its head underwater to get the mud out, then lunges at Percy...

Smon rolls 1d20 and gets:
16,
Smon: You didn't see Garrick drop Edward in the mire.
Kjato Ragfoot: Did we get torches from the servants to light our way through the night? If we did, I would light one and throw it at the monster in the hope of distracting it long enough for Percy to withdraw.
Smon: The girl is on one horse and is about 90' away now, Garrick on the second, Angus on the third
Smon: You have none lit as (a) you didn't say so and (b) torches would have made your position obvious, but 5 in 6 they packed some for you:
Smon: /roll 1d6

Smon: /roll 1d20

Smon rolls 1d4+4 and gets:

Kjato Ragfoot: Angus will follow, seeing that Percy is going for the horse.
Smon: Angus and Garrick spur their horses away. They can hear rending, tearing sounds as the troll rips Sir Percifal apart.
OculusOrbus Has entered the room
OculusOrbus: still at it?
Smon: Getting late, think I'll stop there for tonight.
OculusOrbus: guess not
Kjato Ragfoot: Well, we are just running from a troll.
Goonergeezer: ok :-)
OculusOrbus: that's the story of your life, Rags
Smon: If you want to continue quickly I can do tomorrow Friday, otherwise Monday.
Goonergeezer: (that went much better than i thought, 2 possible thorns removed)
Goonergeezer: monday is good for me
Smon: Troll is a very handsome fellow.

Kjato Ragfoot: I definitely cannot play on Monday and most likely won't be available for the next two weeks.
Smon: I rem you said Kjato - Angus could be nursing his terrible wounds?
Kjato Ragfoot: Not sure if I can tomorrow, I am meeting some friends and do not know how long it wil take.
OculusOrbus: Smon, what is it with you and all the porn?
Smon: OK, let's say Monday.
Smon: 'erotica' Oc
Kjato Ragfoot: Smon - Yes, that sounds like a good idea. With him being almost shred to parts.
OculusOrbus: heh heh
Smon: Cartoon erotica. I actually don't like real porn!
OculusOrbus:
of course
_jester_: Those Nips will put his eyes out.
Smon:
OculusOrbus: they'll grow back
Smon: 6pm good, Gooner?
_jester_: Worth it huh?
Goonergeezer: a bit of a downer losing a brother-in-law and a suitor of a sister in law on the honeymoon night
Smon: Tragic, yup.
Goonergeezer: 6 to 6:30 for me m8
Kjato Ragfoot: At least we saved the buxom maiden.
OculusOrbus: jester, you got that game ready yet?
Smon: ok cool.
Smon:

Smon:
Good idea!Bloated Blowfish Has entered the room
Smon: Wedding parties are listed here:http://smonsyggsburgh.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/yggsburgh-book-2-introduction.html
Smon: Hi Blowfish. I'm getting ready for 1st session of my restarted Yggsburgh game.
Bloated Blowfish: ''eello"
Smon: Kjato, are you done with the laundry?
Bloated Blowfish: ah..am running this myself
Smon: Awesome! What are your PCs doing BB?
Bloated Blowfish: their just at the entrance to the lower levels in the streroom section
Bloated Blowfish: storeroom*
Smon: Right - I've not got the Zagyg box set.

Kjato Ragfoot: Smon: Yes, sorry for being late.
Bloated Blowfish: one of the 3 steps will lead to an underground city
Smon: I use the Yggsburgh book, gazetteer, Dark Chateau & might use Castle of the Mad Archmage
Bloated Blowfish: whih I created..call it a place where all the pcs the players have ever run in my campaign can be found and more ..
jobatett Has entered the room
Smon:

jobatett: Game?

jobatett Has exited the room

84,Smon: Her expression softens slightly (55% prone to positive!)

89,Smon: Otto nods.

1,Smon: They are roughly man-shaped, but toes wide-splayed, look clawed.
6,Smon: After a couple hours wandering in the swamp, you seem to have lost the trail, and are wet and muddy.

Smon rolls 1d6 and gets:
2,Smon: OK, you have been searching for about half an hour when both groups hear a girl's scream carrying over the bog, some distance away.

Smon rolls 1d20 and gets:
16,Smon: You didn't see Garrick drop Edward in the mire.
